Overview

Overview

Traceable pro was ideated and created in a short timespan of about 4 weeks for Kiwirail Interislander once Level 4 lockdown came into effect. This app is used to scan passengers details and verify who is on the vessle at any point of time. If an outbreak of covid was to be recorded, this would be sent off to the MoH. Ultimately its best use case turned out to be the local city council who used it in their venues while the country was in level 2 lockdown.

“The app means we have an efficient way to track who is in our facilities at any one time so that we can contract trace if we need to. It will make accessing our facilities easier for our customers, our staff and our contractors,’’ - Mary Richardson, Council’s COVID-19 Incident Management Lead

Working with CEO Brett and our wider cross functional team we ideated on ways to display different branches, and how we could display a customer list to staff, we also used a secure identification scanner which can automatically detect parameters from an ID and auto fill the visitor log.

Upon arrival at a site, visitors will be asked to scan their ID cards and provide their email or phone number for potential contact tracing. The Council's devices will handle the scanning process, so visitors won't need to use their own phones.

All data is securely held and can only be accessed for contact tracing purposes if requested by the Ministry of Health.

This data will be securely stored in the cloud for 60 days, as required by the Ministry of Health. During this period, the data can only be accessed for contact tracing purposes. After 60 days, the data will be deleted.
